Katja Bernert is a Textile Architecture enthusiast. She works at the internationally operating membrane manufacturer MehlerHeytex. Katja is a well-known weaving and coating expert with strong networks in the fabrics industry as well as the related academia. She closes the gap between product developers and architects. Her focus are sustainable product innovations.
Katja is internationally invited for lectures, as workshop instructor and into the scientific committees of symposia.
She is chair of the international industry association AMA, Architectural Membrane Association, member of the Institute for Membrane and Shell Technology, IMS, and of TensiNet. She is listed member of the Chamber of Architects.
