• 1996 – 1999 Part time Research Engineer at Delft University of Technology for the CONIFERS project
• 1997 – Founding of Tentech BV together with Erik Sluis
• 1999-2003 Part time Research Engineer at Delft University of Technology, Laboratory for Building Technology, subject Membrane Structures
• 2001-2004 Partner in Tensinet. Tensinet is a European network funded by the European Commission. Result is a European Design Guide for membrane structures.
• 2004 –Guest Lecturer at Delft University of Technology, subject Membrane Structures
• 2008 –Chairman of the Tensinet Working Group for ETFE foil structures, a working group on a design guide for ETFE foil structures (air cushion roofs & single layer structures)
• 2012 – Member of CEN-TC 254 W5 Membrane structures (Eurocode for Membrane structures)
• 2014 – Member of CEN-TC 152 W1 Temporary Tent structures
• 2017 – Chairman of CEN-TC 152 W3 Event Structures
